Today's word is "bailiwick."
Merriam-Webster says...
"bailiwick: noun. 1) the office or jurisdiction of a bailiff; 2) a special domain."
Whether you work in the courts or not, you can use bailiwick in your day-to-day vocabulary, if you're so inclined. For example, it's not the bailiwick of the non-reader to read this blog or care about the books I care about. That's cool. It's not my bailiwick to be concerned about that because I'm too busy reading.
