Confession: I’m a death nerd. Or “thanophile” if you want the proper term. I’m fascinated by all things weird and interesting about death, including cemeteries.

In my latest essay, “Love Lives In This Place” published in The Order of the Good Death, I wrote about overcoming death anxiety, being a tour guide at a cemetery in my hometown, and the woman singlehanded preserving Black history in Birmingham, Alabama, through her work at the city’s historic cemetery.

I’d love it if you’d read and share!
